Gamification
Gamification in LearnQuest AI turns learning progress into rewards — badges, streaks, leaderboards, and teams — so kids stay motivated to come back and keep practising.
Badges
Completing activities and hitting milestones earns badges that appear in your badge showcase. Badges recognise things like finishing a first activity, mastering a subject, or keeping a streak going. They give kids a visible record of what they've achieved.
Streaks
A streak counts the consecutive days you complete at least one activity. Streaks reward consistency — a little learning every day — and are a gentle nudge to return.
Leaderboards
Leaderboards rank learners by points earned, with views that can be scoped (for example by category or age group). They add friendly competition for kids who enjoy it, while the core learning experience never depends on ranking.
Leaderboard and category/age-group views rely on database indexes that an administrator deploys for the production app. Until those are deployed, some ranked views may be limited.
Teams
Kids can join teams to learn together. A team has its own view where members can see shared progress, turning solo practice into a group effort.
Why it works
| Mechanic | What it encourages |
|---|---|
| Badges | A sense of accomplishment and collection. |
| Streaks | Daily habit-building. |
| Leaderboards | Friendly, optional competition. |
| Teams | Collaboration and belonging. |
Together these keep motivation high without turning learning into pressure — rewards celebrate effort and consistency, not just raw scores.
