Activities
An activity in LearnQuest AI is a self-contained, interactive learning exercise that a child plays to practise a skill. Activities are the heart of the app — short, focused, and rewarding, with instant feedback and a score recorded when finished.
Activity types
Each activity has a type that determines how it plays. The app currently supports these types:
| Type | What it is |
|---|---|
| Quiz | Multiple-choice questions with scoring and instant right/wrong feedback. |
| Puzzle | Drag-and-drop pieces (such as a jigsaw) into the correct positions. |
| Memory game | Flip cards to find matching pairs and train recall. |
| Coloring / drawing | A canvas with colours and brushes for free creative play. |
| Story | A multi-page reader with optional read-aloud narration. |
| Coding challenge | Small programming tasks checked against test cases. |
| Interactive game | General interactive mini-games. |
| Math problem | Step-by-step math solving. |
| Video | A dedicated video player with chapters and progress tracking. |
When an activity references a type the app doesn't recognise, it shows a clear "activity type not supported" message instead of a blank screen — so the experience never silently breaks.
How activities are organised
Activities are tagged by age band (covering ages 1–15) and subject, so the Browse page can filter them to the right level. Search and filters help you find exactly what you want, and a fuzzy search makes it quick to locate an activity by name.
Use cases
- A 4-year-old practises letters and shapes with coloring and simple memory games.
- An 8-year-old builds arithmetic fluency with math-problem activities and quizzes.
- A 12-year-old reads a story with comprehension follow-ups or tackles a beginner coding challenge.
- A parent picks age-appropriate activities and reviews scores afterward.
About the "777 activities" figure
The app markets a large activity count ("777 activities"). To be transparent: that number reflects activities produced by a procedural content generator built on reusable templates — the engine combines variables (letters, numbers, colours, animals, and so on) to create many activity variations across age bands. It is not 777 individually hand-authored screens. The generator and templates live in the app's data layer, and the result is a broad, varied library that stays consistent and age-appropriate.
Completing an activity
When you finish an activity, LearnQuest AI records your score and time spent, updates your progress, and may award a badge. Many activities work offline and sync your results when you reconnect.
